Independent content creation company Oxyg3n Media is now on the lookout for participants to take part in the hit series, Married at First Sight South Africa. By Staff Writer
The series will premiere on Lifetime (DStv channel 131) in early 2017.
In Married at First Sight, singles who have failed to find love put their hearts in the hands of a team of experts, who select their perfect partner; the couples then meet for the first time at the altar.
After the wedding and honeymoon, the married couples move in together and start their new lives. From the first kiss to the first tears, cameras document every moment as experts analyse the relationships.
Six weeks of marriage later, the couples have to make a decision: to stay together or file for divorce.
“We are looking for singles who are committed to finding true love. This is not a series for those that are looking for fame, but rather for those who are genuilnly looking to form a serious relationship and participate in a unique social experiment, the basis of which will form a truly entertaining and fascinating television series,” Oxyg3n Media’s Rebecca Fuller Campbell said in a statement.
There is however a number of official entry criteria that need to be met including:
- Only single men and women between the ages of 24 – 36 can apply
- Have never before married
- Have never had children
- Are ready for a committed relationship
- Feel that they’ve exhausted all options to finding love
- Ready for a different approach to finding love
