MTN is the headline sponsor of Cassper’s #FillUpOrlandoStadium concert

MTN has confirmed that it will be the headline sponsor for the much-anticipated #FillUpOrlandoStadium musical concert that will feature a three-hour solo performance by hip-hop sensation Refiloe Phoolo, popularly known as Cassper Nyovest.

MTN appointed Nyovest as the company’s brand ambassador last year after a successful partnership with multiple award-winning Afropop duo, Mafikizolo.

Nyovest has vowed to fill up the historic 40 000 seater Orlando Stadium on October 29 following the hugely successful FillUptheDome concert where he managed to fill up the 20 000 Ticketpro Dome in the north of Johannesburg in a scintillating solo act.

Says Larry Annetts, MTN SA Chief Consumer Officer: “MTN is pleased to be the headline sponsor of this historic event. The audacious nature of this undertaking resonates with MTN’s value of leadership and Can Do, and we remain confident that the event will not only be a success, but will also set a new benchmark in the music industry.”

Nyovest concurred: “The success of the #FillUpTheDome proved that any dream can be achieved if you set your sights to it. When I received the news that MTN agreed to be the headline sponsor, I was impressed by God’s sense of humour as I ended my on a day positive note. I am confident that my fans will come in their numbers to #FillUpOrlandoStadium to the rafters. I wish to thank MTN for believing in me and throwing their weight behind this concert which promises to rewrite music history in South Africa.”

Nyovest released his debut album, Tsholofelo, in July 2014 which peaked at number one on the iTunes South African albums chart for two consecutive months. In October 2014, MTV Base ranked Nyovest number one on “The Hottest MC in Africa” list.
